Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AWS cloud practitioner to help our consumers implement best practices on the AWS platform. In this role you will be responsible for configuring VPC, implementing IAM policies and managing user accounts, managing organizations, development in serverless solutions, performing data backups, monitoring uptime and performance, among other duties.
To be successful in this role, you should have some experience working with IT systems and infrastructure, such as servers, networks, and databases. Moreover, you should possess a deep understanding of serverless architectures and a solid grasp of AWS cloud-related technologies. Top candidates will have strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics to clients. Experience working in an Agile development methodology.
Responsibilities:
● Understands AWS design principles, and architectural best practices and industry standards. Designs and Implements solutions based on Architectural best practices and AWS Well Architected Framework
● Implements re-architecting existing applications on Cloud to AWS.
● Implements refactor, rehost and relocate of existing on-premises application to AWS.
● Implements ingress and egress data to and from AWS
● Coordinates with existing enterprise IT organization to integrate Cloud infrastructure/network environment with corporate infrastructure / data center environment
● Designs reference Architecture and provide input to the DevOps team for implementation of codified stacks that meet the needs of the applications
● Educates team to design and implement architectures based on best practices.
● Provides hands-on technical coaching to accelerate Cloud learning across the Cloud COE
Skills must have
● 3+ years of experience in a Cloud engineering or development role.
● Serverless development
● AWS CDK 2.0
● Python
● GitHub/Actions
● AWS identity center
● Step Functions
● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Having used {{ ECS or EKS, or whichever technologies you are looking to use }} in the past is a plus.
● Docker build
● Docker registry
● Security Hub, Guard duty, Config, Firewall manager, Inspector and System Manager
● Configuring Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
● Configuring security groups and network access control lists (ACLs)
● Configuring DNS service with Route 53
● Configuring Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Instances
● Implementing identity and access management (IAM) policies
● Managing user accounts with IAM
● Implementing cloud storage using Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)
