Service Types:
The Virtualization Specialist (Iac) performs 2nd and 3rd Level support duties, including Capacity Planning, performance checking, advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other IT support teams, always following ITIL best Practices and strict quality guidelines and strong management and coordination abilities to oversee managed services effectively.
Service Hours:
The below Service Hours are defined only in those cases, where it is justified by the character of the service provided by Vendor.
Service Hours Description:
8×5 GMT+1 (9:00-18:00) Support during work-days in office hours in the CET time-zone.
Availability to provide support outside of regular business hours, including weekends and holidays. It is anticipated that after-hours maintenance tasks, such as patching, disaster recovery, and general support, will be needed approximately once every two months.
Service holidays:
All official holidays in location are observed as service holidays as well.
Key Skill sets:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or recognition of prior working experience which is equivalent.
VMware skills (vCenter, ESX, etc)
Basic Infra skills (Network(dhcp, dns), firewall, Storage)
Automation & Dev skills (phyton, terraform, gitlab)
Cloud skills (AWS)
Admin skills (Windows required, Linux nice to have)
Experience with virtualization technologies – vSphere 8,installation, administration and second level support.
Desirable experience installing and configuring Server Enclosures (HPE), Virtual Connect modules, HPE Blades, Nutanix.
Desirable experience with Infrastructure Disaster Recovery solutions for virtualization – SRM+, vSphere Replication, stretched cluster.
Desirable knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code concept and tools (Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Phyton)
ITIL Foundation Certification
Business critical environment experience

Scope details:
The following information presents the complete definition of the service to be delivered in scope of this request and the way in which the service delivery is measured.
Managing / Coordinating Lifecycle Infrastructure Upgrades
Managing High Critical Manufacturing Environments
Technical evaluation and implementation planning of new features
Managing environment scaling (i.e migrations, decommissioning, data store requests etc)
Post hardware provisioning checks (i.e. post Gen11 provisioning)
The Windows & Virtualization specialist (laC) performs 2nd and 3rd level support duties, including capacity planning, performance checking, advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other IT support teams.
Always following ITIL best practices and strict quality guidelines.
Virtualization System Admin Implement Infrastructure (VMWare/Nutanix).
Advanced troubleshooting of problems related to operating system & hardware with potential escalations to external vendors.
Continuous automation of tasks using scripting technologies (ie: PowerShell/Python)
Build and install computer infrastructure, which encompasses hardware, servers, and virtual machines, configure it for production by creating user accounts, controlling access to networks, and managing storage and security settings.
Perform Maintenance:
Monitor client systems daily and pain point problem areas. Proactively design and install upgrades, releases, and application patches. Update drivers, servers, and firmware with newer technology.
Provide Technical Support:
Provide technical support to clients, respond to issues reported by clients, conduct root cause analysis and go through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution.
Recommend Solutions Participate in planning client infrastructures. This entails gathering system data, researching possible solutions, developing and presenting their design ideas, and thoughtfully evaluating suggestions from others. Evaluate Industry trends and assist in implementing standards and best practices.
Create Documentation:
Create and maintain documentation for all system-related processes and procedures that they’re in charge of, including project requirements, changes and upgrades, implementation plans, and support tickets.
Monitor System Performance:
Monitor performance to reduce interruptions and server crashes. This can involve monitoring daily traffic logs and reports or working directly with end users. If any potential issues or bugs are identified that affect server performance, then develop and deploy proactive solutions to ensure system usability across the organization. “
