Data Modellers
Required Technical Skill Set:
Techno-Functional, O&G domain knowledge, Data modelling experience
Must-Have:
• A deep understanding of the various data types, data sources and structures within the Oil & Gas industry
• Knowledge of the Petroleum data model (standardized data model for the Oil & Gas industry)
• Knowledge of key terms, entities, and relationships within O&G industry to define specific domain concepts
• Ability to abstract complex business data requirements into a logical data model
• Understanding on data quality, security, and compliance for data governance
• Exposure to ontology based data modelling for O&G domain
• Clear and effective communication with business users, data engineers, and other stakeholders
Good-to-Have:
• Exposure to data modelling tools & Technologies
• Exposure to ontology languages
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:
1. Designs and maintains the conceptual, logical and physical data models for O&G domain data product development
2. Works with Data Owners and Data Stewards to refine and optimize the data models
3. Ensures that the data models align with business requirements and data governance policies
4. Establish a data quality framework for data quality monitoring, metadata management, and data lineage. May be involved in data cleansing, and data enrichment activities.
5. Working along side Data Architect to designs overall data architecture for the domain, including data sources, data flows, and data storage
6. Expected to work on various data modelling tools as per client requirement
7. Continuous upskilling
