DevOps Engineer (Cognite Data Platform Devops Expert)

Job Description:

Experience: 8-10 years
DevOps Engineer
Required Technical Skill Set:
Cognite Data Platform, Azure, AWS, Git and GitHub workflows, Ruby or Python, SQL, Shell Scripting

Must-Have:
1. Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, Cognite Data Platform)
2. Engineering Document parsing and P&ID hot spotting
3. Understanding of Cognite Data Platform’s (CDP) data model and how it relates to DevOps principles.
4. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
5. Understanding of Cognite Data Platform (CDP) automated data pipelines, version control for data
Good-to-Have:
1. Familiarity of Cognite Data Fusion application
2. Use CDF’s features and other tools to automate data ingestion, transformation, and deployment
3. Engineering Document parsing and P&ID hot spotting
4. Prior exposure to time-series data and industrial asset hierarchy
5. Some experience of Energy/Oil & Gas domain

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:
1. Use CDF’s features and other tools to automate data ingestion, transformation, and deployment
2. Configure automated data pipelines, version control for data using CDP Functionalities
3. Research and stay up to date on the latest advancements in DevOps technologies and methodologies

5. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide effective solutions
6. Discuss strategies for managing credentials and other sensitive information securely within CI/CD workflows
