1. We at #CosMicIT are looking for #Oracle Exadata

Locations: Remote/Onsite/Nearshore

Experience :- 7 to 12 Years 

Job Description :

• • Oracle Exadata – Database Machine Administration
  • A minimum of 7+ years experience managing exadata systems
  • Exadata capacity expansion (DB server/node & storage server addition)
  • Schedule and work with Oracle for patching Exadata (on DB servers, storage servers, switches) including QFSD patching on Exadata
  • Patch Communication and Patch Inventory Management
  • End to end monitoring of Exadata components and support/coordinating in resolving issues (ASR/Network/firewall, etc.)
  • Management of Oracle Exadata Hardware is with OEM (Oracle)
  • Virtual Machines running on Exadata will be maintained by the DBA.
  • All Exadata OS level tasks (e.g., patching, creating users/groups etc) on these VMs will be internally handled, instead of Compute Team
  • Coordinating and Planning with Oracle vendor for Exadata maintenance/hardware/software expansion
  • Exadata Database Consolidations, Migrations, and Upgrades
  • On-prem database migrations to Exadata
  • Complete DB support for databases on Exadata
  • Support and liaison with Oracle and internal teams (DC/Network/security teams) for capacity expansion
  • Coordinate with Oracle and internal teams for hardware issues and support post hardware replacement.
  • Proactive monitoring of complete Exadata landscape including gateway and jump servers.
  • Strong knowledge of Exadata, Real Application Clusters, Oracle database, Storage, and Linux fundamentals.
