Job Description :
Detailed Responsibilities: SUSE LINUX L3 SME
- Responsible for Linux Systems Implementation and Administration, with a focus on SUSE LINUX Enterprise Linux , SUSE Linux
- Linux Server Operating system administration
- Linux server patching using existing tools
- Linux server disk management, Knowledge in LVM, LDAP Configuration
- External Storage (directly attached storage) Media Management
- Cooperation in backup issue troubleshooting backup
- Installs, Moves, Adds and Changes (IMAC) Services
- Basic understanding on cluster, failover and failback of cluster during troubleshooting
- Application and Utility Services/agents stop start
- OEM coordination for Hardware issue troubleshooting
- Cooperation for security related patching and fine tuning
- Disaster recovery process support
- Bash Scripting knowledge, Kernel Tuning, Perform trend & performance analysis of CPU Memory Disk Utilization for Critical Servers
- ITIL framework and processes
- Follow ITIL (Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity and Availability management) processes as per the project requirements
- Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
- Practical experience in monitoring the Linux Server to provide a high availability service
- Required to work in different shifts as per the Project deployment schedule
- Coordinate with various teams for operational effectiveness.
Education and Professional Skills
- 10+ years of experience as Unix / Linux System administration / implementation.
- Professional qualification or BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
- Good English reading/writing capability required.
- Good communication & articulation skills.
- Customer centricity.
- Good Understanding of ITIL Process.
- 24*7 Support Coverage
